RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE TO RECEIVING VACCINATION Human Papilloma Virus AMONG THE MOTHER OF SMP IN THE DISTRICT AND THE CITY Bantul YOGYAKARTA

ABSTRACT: Cervical cancer is the second cancer that often affects women in the world. Every year 529 828 women diagnosed with cervical cancer and 275 128 women die from it. Problems in Indonesia cervical cancer can be prevented by HPV vaccination program. HPV vaccination can be performed on adolescents who have not been sexually active. Parents play a significant role in the determination of HPV vaccination for their daughters. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards Human Papilloma Virus vaccination acceptance among mothers of junior high school student in Bantul and Yogyakarta. This study is a survey research, cross sectional (cross-sectional). The survey was conducted using a questionnaire given to the mother of junior high school students aged 12-15 years residing in the district of Bantul and Yogyakarta. Respondents who needed 100 people. The questionnaire in the form of questions related to general information related to sociodemographic, knowledge related to cervical cancer and the HPV vaccine, maternal attitudes related to cervical cancer and HPV vaccination, and maternal acceptance against cervical cancer and HPV vaccination. The results showed that mothers of junior high school student in Bantul and Yogyakarta City knowledgeable low (56%) and negative attitudes (54%) of cervical cancer and HPV vaccination. Ninety-one percent of mothers of junior high school student willing if their child HPV vaccination. From the analysis of the relationship can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between mothers experiences heard about cervical cancer screening to the level of knowledge of mothers about cervical cancer and HPV vaccination (p = 0.09); religious characteristics (p = 0.008) and hear through the media against the cervical cancer HPV vaccine acceptance (p = 0.041); there was no significant relationship between the demographic characteristics of the attitudes of mothers of junior high school student in the city of Yogyakarta and Bantul (p> 0.05).
