STUDY ANALYSIS OF PRECISION SET UP ON PATIENT EXAMINATION FOR A CT SCAN CT contour ON BREAST CANCER

ABSTRACT: Radiotherapy for breast cancer using Three-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT) technic requires Computerized Tomography Scanning (CT Scan) examination, namely CT contour are used for patient contour at Treatment Planning System (TPS). CT contour use for increase accurate and precision planning and patient gets the right dose. CT contour in DICOM data need to analyze using simulator data for more accurate and precision planning. Simulator data obtained from the initial planning of radiotherapy used as a reference for the analysis of data contours from CT Scan examination. The method used to analyze the DICOM data by comparing the position of the artifacts marker that contained in the DICOM data to the existing markers on the patient's body that contained in the simulation results as a reference position. The analysis shows that there are differences in the DICOM data compare to the simulator data. Results of the analysis of the position marker on the table long shows the average shift of the table long at each central point supraclavicular, axillary, and CMI respectively 5,87±3,86; 6±4,47; 3,13±3,62 mm. The average change of table height at each central point of internal tangential, external tangential, supraclavicular, and CMI respectively 6,6±8,69; 8,83±11,57; 6,63±5,01; 4,57±3,74 mm. The average change in depth at each central point tangential, and axillary respectively 5,9±10,5; 7,03±4,96 mm. Differences and data changes at the central point of the irradiation field in simulator data and DICOM data shows that set-up of patients are not appropriate when performing a CT Scan.
